Thunder Canyon Brewery, Tucson's oldest, needed brand assets that could support an expansion into canned beer, rum, and vodka. I built a bold, flexible visual system — illustration, color, and typography — that scales across cans, spirit labels, and merchandise while staying unmistakably Thunder Canyon. The result: Southwest-rooted designs built for recognition at the bar, in the aisle, or on the shelf.

This series of illustrations was created for Thunder Canyon Brewery, a long-standing local favorite located in downtown Tucson. In early 2019, they wanted to expand their line of canned beer and rum and vodka but didn't have the brand assets to make a solid impression in a crowded market. They needed a cohesive visual direction that could tie everything together.
I developed a bold and flexible visual system—anchored by illustration, color, and typography—that could scale seamlessly across any product in their lineup. From beer cans to spirit labels to branded merchandise, the system was designed to feel unmistakably Thunder Canyon while allowing room for individual products to shine. The final designs celebrate the brewery's Southwest roots and ensure brand recognition whether you're ordering at the bar, browsing the beer aisle, or picking up a bottle from their distillery shelf.
